Through the course students will understand the lingo (HTS, MCQ, SAQ, DBQ, LEQ, etc.), the rubrics, and the content (Periods 1-2). Additionally, they will have ample opportunities to practice essential skills such as reading and note-taking, listening to lectures and taking notes, and time management.

The introduction module provides a wealth of information and resources to help students understand the basics of AP US History. Students will download a comprehensive workbook (104 pages!) to guide them through the Summer Boot Camp step-by-step.

Course Structure

The course includes 8 lessons that cover the most crucial content from Periods 1-2. Each lesson consists of a reading assignment and lecture (with guided notes), multiple-choice question practice, and a skill lesson followed by a practice opportunity. Here is a preview of the skills covered:
